PUBLIC NOTICE

Department of Revenue Supervisor of Assessment Examination Scheduled in Ogle County

The Department of Revenue, Springfield, Illinois has fixed Tuesday, June 18, 2019, as the date for an examination for the office of Supervisor of Assessments.

The examination will be held at the County Board room #317 in the Ogle County courthouse, located at 105 S. Fifth Street, Oregon, Illinois, at the hour of 11:00am.

Application forms and information may be obtained by contacting County Board Chairman, Kim Gouker (see information below). Individuals interested in taking the examination should contact County Board Chairman, Kim Goukerby 10:00 am of the day before the examination (June 17, 2019) to register.

To be eligible for election or appointment to the office of Supervisor of
Assessments, an individual must meet the eligibility criteria set forth in 35 ILCS 200/3-5 of the Property Tax Code.

The examination and facilities will be accessible to persons with disabilities in compliance with state and federal laws. Persons in need of special accommodations should notify County Board Chairman, Kim Gouker, by 9:00am on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, to make the necessary arrangements.

Job Opening and description

Ogle County is seeking applications for the Supervisor of Assessments, a departmental management position that requires certain Illinois statutory requirements. A satisfactory approved applicant will begin their full-time position on or before August 1, 2019.

Requirements: See attached statutory definitions of job description that must be met as an employment minimum (35 ILCS 200/3).

Additional job requirements include office and staff management, filing all necessary department reports required by the State of Illinois, and all other duties as assigned by the Ogle County Board.

Prior management experience is preferred.

See attached office summary for department status, as of December 1, 2018.

Salary will be based on qualifications, up to but not to exceed the other non-elected Ogle Co. Department Heads, currently $79,431.

Applicants must submit a current employment resume, with references, a notice of current standing of statutory certification, as required by the State of Illinois, per 35 ILCS 200/3, or intent to satisfy such certification in order to accept employment.
