Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

On 09/19/17 at 10:24 pm Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 1998 Ford Taurus at Green St and Locust St in Polo IL for a lane violation. After a short investigation Deputies arrested Jacquelyn Johnston 39 of Polo IL for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Johnston was transported to the Ogle Co Jail and held in lieu of bond.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

On 09-19-17 at 9:58 pm, Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Impala in the 9800 block of E Rt 72 for Improper Lane Usage. After an investigation the driver of the vehicle, Brian Bonne, age 75 of Stillman Valley was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Bonne was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

Warrant Arrest

On 09-18-17 Travis L Oltman, age 23 of DeKalb was arrested for Failure to Appear with a bond of $865 Full Cash. Oltman also has an outstanding DeKalb Co Warrant.

Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol

On 09/19/2017 at approximately 3:16 am, Ogle County Deputies along with the Polo Police Department responded to 9575 West Edgewood Road in reference to a disturbance. After an investigation Jeffery M. Plantz, age 19 of Polo was arrested for Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol By a Minor and Resisting Arrest. Plantz was taken into custody and transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

Driving While License Suspended

On 09-18-17 at 8:14 pm, Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 17,000 block of E Rt 64 on a silver Honda Civic for a speeding violation. The driver, Erick Trinidad, age 27 of Elgin was arrested for Driving While License Suspended. Trinidad was also cited for Speeding and other traffic violations. Erick was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

Warrant Arrest

On 09/17/17 Oscar Milan, age 25 of Rochelle, was arrested for Petition to Revoke. Milan didn’t post $50,000 (10%) and will appear in court on 09/18/17 at 1 pm.

Driving While License Suspended

On 09/17/17 at approximately 1756 hours Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 3000 block of North Freeport Road on two vehicles. The driver of the first vehicle, Damian Babcock, age 22 of Freeport was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. Babcock was also cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and No Valid Registration.

The driver of the second vehicle, Deshawn Stokes, age 23 of Freeport was placed under arrest for Obstructing Identification, Driving While License Suspended, No Valid Driver’s License, and an Outstanding Stephenson and Jo Daviess County warrants. Babcock and Stokes were both transported to the Ogle County Jail where they were held in lieu of bond.

Criminal Trespass to Property

On 0916/17 at about 0220 hours Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 8000 block of S. Prairie Road in reference to a report of a vehicle taken without consent and damage to property. Upon arrival deputies located a red 2013 Chevy Pick-up in a field off Gurler Road, which appeared to have been involved in an accident. A male, later identified as Dalton H. Ibarra, age 19 of Franklin Grove, was unconscious in the driver’s seat. Ashton EMS responded to the scene and Ibarra was transported to the Rochelle Community Hospital. Upon completing an investigation into the accident, Ibarra was charged with Criminal Damage to Property, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Consumption of Alcohol as a Minor, and Criminal Trespass to Vehicle. Ibarra was also cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. Following treatment at the hospital, Ibarra was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held pending an appearance before a judge.

Driving While License Suspended

On 09/16/17 at approximately 1942 hours Deputies initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Main St. in Leaf River. After further investigation Tobias Whetsel, age 26 of Leaf River was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. Whetsel was also cited for Possession of Cannabis. Whetsel was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

Domestic Battery

On 09/15/17 at 1639 hours Deputies responded to Casey’s General Store in Creston in reference to a physical domestic problem in progress. Illinois State Police Department also responded to the scene. After a short investigation Jamie S. Maple Jr, 19 of Champaign IL, was arrested for Unlawful Restraint, Domestic Battery, and Assault. Maple was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
