Warrant Arrest

On 07-03-15 Rebecca A Hanson, age 38 of Oregon was arrested on a Contempt Warrant. Hanson posted the $275 Full Cash Bond and was released. Hanson will appear in court on 07-15-15 at 1:30 pm.

On 07-03-15 Kendrick C Spring, age 25 of Byron was arrested on a warrant for Driving While License Revoked. Bond is $5,000 10%. Spring will appear in court on 07-06-15 at 1:00 pm.

Overturned Tractor Trailer

On 07/02/15 at 1:30 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Polo Fire Department responded to an overturned tractor trailer combination on Route 52 at the intersection with Galena Trail Road north of Polo.  The tractor trailer combination driven by Vernon S. Boyd, 61, of Charles City, IA was eastbound on Route 52 and drove off the roadway on the right side and overturned in the south ditch.  Boyd received minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
The trailer was hauling a heated liquid asphalt emulsion, some of which spilled into the roadside ditch, and was contained there.  Also responding to the scene were the Mount Morris Fire Department, Polo Police Department , Illinois Department of Transportation, Ogle County Highway Department, Ogle County Emergency Management, and a representative of Etnyre Manufacturing who provided information on the construction of the tank trailer and how to unload the remaining emulsion.

Warrant Arrests

On 7-2-15 Ogle County Deputies arrested the following individuals on outstanding Ogle County warrants:

  • Daniel W. Childers, 35of Steward, for Failure to Appear. Childers did not post $2402 full cash for bond and will appear in court on 7-6-15 at 1:00 pm.
  • James Salazar, 25 of Rochelle, for Petition to Revoke. Salazar did not post $10,000 (10%) for bond and will appear in court on 7-6-15 at 1:00 pm.

Possession of Cannabis

On 07/02/15 at approximately 2313 hours Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 2000 block of East Mill Rd. After further investigation, Jacob Belter, 23 of Stillman Valley, was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Cannabis less than 2.5 grams. Belter was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

Warrant Arrests

On 07-02-15 th e following were arrested for outstanding Ogle County Warrants:

Justin Bertaud, age 22 of Sycamore for Failure to Appear – original charge of Possession of Drug Equipment – with a full Cash Bond of $231.  Bertaud will appear in court on 07-02-15 at 1:00 pm.

Rachel J Bradbury, age 28 of Rockford for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond is  $25,000 10%. Bradbury will appear in court on 07-06-15 at 1:00 pm.

James S Shumate, age 42 of Rockford for Failure to Appear. Bond is $3,105 Full Cash. Shumate will appear in court on 07-06-15 at 1:00 pm.

Shannon L Thompson, age 29 of Rockford for Failure to Appear. Bond is $850 Full Cash. Thompson will appear in court on 07-06-15 at 1:00 pm.

 

 

Violation of Bond Condtions

On 7-1-15 at 4:54 pm, Ogle County Deputies responded to the 5700 block of N. Kilbuck Road in reference to an unwanted subject. After an investigation, Gordon C. Lantz, 61 of Rockford, was arrested for Violation of Bond Conditions, which stemmed from an incident that occurred earlier in the day, and Disorderly Conduct. Lantz was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. The Ogle County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Rockford Police Department.

Warrant Arrests

On 7-1-15 Ogle County Deputies arrested the following individuals on outstanding Ogle County Warrants:

  • David Lowtharp, 46 of Mt. Morris, for Bail Bond Violation. Lowtharp did not post $35,000 (10%) for bond and will appear in court on 7-2-15 at 1:00 pm.
  • Christopher Peters, 36 of Rockford for DUI, Failure to Appear, and Petition to Revoke. Peters did not post a total of $2,927 full cash for bond and will appear in court on 7-2 15 at 1:00 pm.
  • Theresa Ruiz-Enriquez, 32 of Rockford, for Failure to Appear. Ruiz-Enriquez posted $166 full cash for bond and has no further court appearances.
  • Jaime Hart, 35 of Chana, for Driving While License Suspended. Hart posted $3,000 (10%) for bond and will appear in court on 7-24-15 at 9:00 am. Hart also posted bond on a Boone County warrant.
  • Sounphavong Vanpaseuth, 41 of Cherry Valley, for Improper Use of Registration. Vanpaseuth did not post $3,000 (10%) for bond and will appear in court on 7-2-15 at 1:00 pm.
  • Robert J. Smith, 58 of Dixon, for Failure to Appear. Smith did not post $3,000 (10%) for bond and will appear in court on 7-2-15 at 1:00 pm.

 

Disorderly Conduct

On July 1st, 2015, approximately 7:47 AM, Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 5000 block of North Kilbuck Rd.  After an investigation Gordon C. Lantz, 61, of Rockford, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct.

Multi Vehicle Accident on Interstate 39

On Monday June 29, 2015 at approximately 3:08 pm Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies, Lynn-Scott-Rock Fire Department and the Rochelle Fire were dispatched to a multi vehicle accident with injuries on Interstate 39 southbound at mile marker 103, four miles north of Rochelle. 

The initial investigation revealed a 2003 Kenworth semi tractor-trailer driven by Jeffrey E Straw age 55 of Wild Rose Wisconsin was traveling southbound on Interstate 39 when he struck the rear of a 2015 Volvo Semi- tractor-trailer causing both semi’s to lose control. As the two semis traveled out of control, five other vehicles became involved in the crash;

2015 Hyundai Sonata driven by Cheryl Wisdon age 68 of Aurora, IL.

2007 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Timothy Shipley age 54 of Harvard, IL.,

2014 Mazda CX 5 driven by Della Schuck age 67 of Radisson, WI.,

2015 Chevrolet Silverado driven by John Allen age 58 of Fort Wayne, IN.,

2009 Toyota Camey driven by Giuseppe Paolucci age 58 of Claredon Hills, IL.

 

Straw was air lifted by REACT helicopter and transported to Rockford Memorial Hospital.

Wisdon and Hogan were transported Rochelle Community Hospital for minor injuries.

The southbound lanes for Interstate 39 were closed for just over three hours. The accident remains under investigation, citations are pending.

Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Illinois State Police Districts 1(Sterling), 15(Oakbrook),16(Rockford) and the Illinois Department of Transportation.

No Valid Driver’s License

On 6/30/15 at 12:16 AM Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a red Honda in the 1000 block of west Blackhawk in Byron for speeding.  After a short investigation Deputies arrested Andrea Esquivel-Cuevas, 19 of Kansas City, KS., for No Valid Driver’s License. Esquivel-Cuevas was transporteed to the Ogle County Correctional Center and will appear in court at a later date.  Deputies were assisted by the Byron Police.
