I lost my pet. What should I do?
Contact Ogle County Animal Control and give a description and possible location. You can also check with the area confinement centers and your local police.

Ogle County Animal Control does not handle nuisance animal problems. You need to call a licensed Nuisance Wildlife contractor.
Companion Cat definition: a cat that is considered by the owner to be a pet. A cat that lives inside the house or one that lives in the house but also does go outside. Also, cats that you feed outside and that you handle them also need to be vaccinated and registered with the county. Farm cats and feral cats are excluded from this.
I found a pet. What should I do?
Make a reasonable attempt to notify the owner of the found animal if the owner can be ascertained from any tag, license, collar, tattoo or other form of identification. If an owner can not be located, the dog must be turned into Ogle County Animal Control the next business day.
If the dog has been found during normal business hours with no tag, microchip, license, collar, tattoo or other form of identification or markings the dog must immediately be turned over to Ogle County Animal Control.
